Visiting hours are flexible from 11am – 9pm. We ask you not to come too early in the morning as this is when all the personal care occurs. If your relative is ill special visiting arrangements can be accommodated.
If you would like to be here at mealtimes to assist your relative you are most welcome.
Children are very welcome to visit with you but must be supervised at all times and are not allowed to run around freely. Please alert a member of staff should drinks be spilled, so it can be removed quickly as this could cause a risk to the residents, staff and other visitors.
Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking room.
Food / Alcohol
If you are bringing in food or alcohol for the resident and you are not familiar with food/alcohol restrictions that may be in place for that person please check with the nurse first. We have a policy of no alcohol being stored in the bedrooms so please check in with the nurse regarding this also.
If you would like to help out with your relative or in the Nursing Home in any way please contact Susan Walsh, Person in Charge you would be very welcome !
Infection control is very important to us for the protection of our residents, staff and visitors. We would kindly urge you to use the hand sanitiser units available on entering and leaving after your visit.
If there is an outbreak in the community of flu or the vomiting bug it is possible it may affect our residents/staff also. We would ask you to refrain from visiting should you be unwell . If an outbreak occurs in the nursing home we will put visitor restrictions in place and there will be a notice on the door to ask members of the public not to enter until further notice. Your cooperation in managing infection control by hand washing and not visiting is appreciated.
