Woodlands House Nursing Home is situated in the thriving and bustling region of Navan, and is serviced by nearby restaurants, public houses, libraries and community halls.
Woodlands House Nursing Home has recently been refurbished, extended and designed to the highest standards and tailored to reflect its unique personality blending in the old with the new character of the building and local surroundings.
Woodlands House accommodates up to thirty-six residents, male and female, aged eighteen and over who are in need of general nursing care whether for respite, convalescence or a longer term on a twenty-four, seven days a week basis in single ensuite and double ensuite rooms. The Nursing Home has four bedrooms in the original house as well as twenty-seven bedrooms in the extension to the rear. Our residents are actively encouraged to personalise their own bedrooms.
For rest and relaxation Woodlands House provides wide corridors which are wheelchair friendly and a range of rooms including two main sitting rooms and a smaller sitting room, two large dining rooms, activities room available for residents and their relatives to celebrate special events such as birthdays should they desire, a multi denominational oratory and a sun room for reading, or perhaps just sitting putting your feet up and relaxing.
We offer a laundry service, hair dressing, doctor and dental visits regularly or upon request. As many services are not provided under the auspices of the HSE Woodlands House contracts professional registered and supervised therapists to enhance your rehabilitation.
An internal secure and sunny courtyard provides a nice outdoor sitting area with raised beds and planting areas for Residents who have an interest in gardening and there are other outdoor areas with stylish and comfortable seating for use by residents, including the patio which provides a sun-trap space. Residents can also stroll around the grounds in the knowledge they will be safe and secure.
Woodlands House is a multi denominational nursing home and caters as far as is possible for all religious denominations.
Mass is celebrated once a fortnight (or more frequently as resources in the local parish allow).
A minister of the Eucharist visits every Tuesday morning .
Clergy of all religions are very welcome and Woodlands House will facilitate all religious services as far as is possible given sufficient notice.
In addition all major holidays such as Easter, Christmas, Halloween, New Year are certainly well celebrated and enjoyed by all residents.
As part of the redevelopment an oratory will be available for all residents for quiet reflection time.
